Aislinn of Foxglen
Aislinn is a 16.2 hand dapple grey, 4 year old Registered Irish Draught Sport Horse mare who was approved for breeding with IDHSNA in 2009. Aislinn is by the RID sire Foxglen Himself, and out of the TB mare Ivor Shoal. Aislinn's older half-sister (same dam) Irish Shoal (Kiely) was purchased as a young horse by Olympian Torrance Watkins and is currently in training for an eventing career. Aislinn's dam Ivor Shoal had a pedigree filled with Thoroughbred bloodlines well respected in sport. Ivor Shoal was by the Mill Reef son Diamond Shoal, and her dam sire was Sir Ivor. She was linebred 4x5 to Princequillo and had crosses to Graustark and Nijinsky close up in her pedigree. Aislinn's sire Foxglen Himself was imported from England. Foxglen is by the RID sire Finbarr out of the mare Sally who was by Flagmount Boy out of a Ben Purple mare. Ben Purple was the damsire of eventer Custom Made, and Flagmount Boy is from the King of Diamonds jumping sireline. Foxglen Himself is a former breed champion in hand and has competed in dressage. Foxglen Himself has sired progeny that have also been successful at breed shows in the United States and in the UK. Aislinn has three month professional training in 2009, came home to rest and grow a bit over the winter and spring of 2010, she has return to professional training this fall as a 4 1/2 year old. She would be suitable as a foxhunter, dressage horse, or eventer. |
