Hanging onto Hailey's Comet -IDSH Mare - Sired by Hangon Johnny X Stormy's Landing, 15.3. Foaled 8/15/2008. Registered by IDHSNA.
Hailey is by the RID stallion Hangon Johnny. Johnny was imported Wales in 1998, and is known for his lovely movement and superb temperament. He has been ridden by children and adult amateur riders for most of his career although he did compete in eventing with professional eventer Brad Hall. Johnny is a grandson of Ben Purple, damsire of Olympic Gold medal Eventer Custom Made (ridden by David O'Connor). Johnny's great grandsire is Tara, who was damsire to legendary sires of Irish show jumpers, Clover Hill and Sea Crest. Hailey's dam is the Thoroughbred mare Stormy's Landing. Stormy's Landing descends from a number of bloodlines commonly found in the pedigrees of steeplechasers, showjumpers and event horses, including Grey Dawn, Double Jay (damsire of Gem Twist), Damascus, and Bold Lad. Stormy Landing's sire Instrument Landing is a great grandson of the Thoroughbred mare Misty Morn, who was also maternal great granddam of grand prix showjumper Hand in Glove. This filly has PRESENCE, Movement, Athleticism and HEART. Hailey is handled every day and is very personable little horse. Both the dam and sire are 16. hands and I expect she will be in that range of 16 hands; currently she is 15.3 hands and growing.
