Irish Ridge Farm was established in 2000, with the goals of producing top quality Irish Draught RID and Irish Draught Sport Horse IDSH, with excellent bloodlines.  Irish Ridge is a small 30-acre farm in the rolling hills of Edgerton, Missouri, 30 miles north of Kansas City.

Our foundation broodmare HANGON BRIDGET RID was sired by HANGON JOHNNY RID out of WINMAUR BRIGHT OLIVE RID.  Bridget arrived here in March 2003. She has fast learning abilities, athleticism and presence. We are confident she will pass on those traits to her foals. 

In March 2004 we purchased an Irish Draught yearling stallion prospect named CELTIC MOON by ANNAGHDOWN STAR RID ( KING ELVIS RID) out of HUGHIES LADY RID ( DULEEK HERO RID). Moon was imported from Ireland in the fall of 2003. In the fall of 2006, he passed the Stallion Inspection and obtained RID status.
